Laurel Ridge Elementary School PTA is excited to sponsor our first-ever R.E.A.C.H. Week campaign. This campaign offers a fun, easy, and positive approach to fundraising and it supports the educational goals of our school. This campaign has been a big success at other schools and we are excited to bring it to Laurel Ridge. We ask that you help us by participating in this worthwhile program.  Our fundraising efforts will be utilized to maintain PTA goals for field trips, classroom supplies, Cultural Arts activities, and for our large project of the year - NEW, ADDITIONAL PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT.

With this campaign there are no products to sell and no door-to-door solicitation required!

Prior to R.E.A.C.H. Week, students will be personalizing letters that promote our reading campaign.  These letters will be asking for sponsor support for each minute your child reads.  During R.E.A.C.H. Week, we will challenge students to read (or be read to) a total of 300 minutes at home and in school.

IMPORTANT DATES TO KEEP IN MIND:

Sept. 22nd (Wed.) - R.E.A.C.H. Week sponsor letter packet will be sent home with children after a special guest appearance and presentation by magician Joe Romano.  This packet will provide information and instructions about the program.  It will also include sponsor letters that you can fill out with your children.  Please take 20 minutes or so to complete this.  It is so easy! Your child's completed sponsor packet is due back at school as soon as possible.

Oct. 1st (Fri.) - Home Reading Time Cards will be sent home.

Oct. 2nd (Sat.) - Oct. 8th (Fri.) - R.E.A.C.H. Week reading.  We will be reading as much as we can with our students at home and in school (100 minutes at school and 200 minutes or more at home). Our goal is to have each student read (or be read to) 300 minutes in one week.

Oct. 8th (Fri.) - R.E.A.C.H. Week Home Reading Time Cards are to be returned to your child’s teacher.
